On Saturday, October 25, 2025, our team at Castle Subaru Portage welcomed families, friends, and four-legged companions alike to our “Subaru Loves Pets Annual Adoption Event.” As part of our commitment to the Subaru Loves Pets initiative, our Subaru dealership in Portage, IN, hosts our annual pet adoption event to support Subaru of America's mission to help all pets find homes and support animals who need a second chance. We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended this year's event, brought loved ones, and generously donated pet food, supplies, treats and more to benefit our event partners – The Humane Society of Hobart, Lakeshore PAWS, and Giant Paw Prints.
This year's event featured a wonderful lineup of adoptable dogs and cats, all eager to find their forever homes. Special thanks go out to all who made the day possible: the dedicated volunteers, the vendors who participated, and of course everyone who showed up and supported the cause.

Subaru Loves Pets is Subaru’s nationwide initiative focused on supporting animal welfare organizations—especially shelters and rescues that help dogs and cats find loving homes. It encourages local Subaru retailers to partner with shelters in their communities to host adoption events, fundraisers, and supply drives.

Lakeshore PAWS is a mostly volunteer-run Non-Profit animal rescue organization located in Valparaiso, IN. Giant Paw Prints Rescue is an all volunteer-based Non-Profit Chartiable Organization located in Westville, IN, with a mission to rescue, heal and adopt dogs in need. Why Your Contributions Matter
Thanks to your generous donations—pet food, beds, toys, blankets and more—our animal shelter partners can continue their vital work.
